National Junior Honor Society (NJHS)

The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character (and Citizenship for NJHS). Furthermore, NJHS prepares students for participation in NHS at High School and participation within their school community. Membership is determined based on character, academics, and teacher recommendations.

Students are selected for the NJHS based upon progress reports toward the end of the 3rd quarter in 7th grade. Selected students are then a member for the rest of 7th grade and all of 8th grade, contingent upon grades and behavior during that timeframe.

NJHS HELPS SOS

NJHS students annually combine forces with the High School's Students of Service (SOS) to provide a community service based fall celebration for district students in grades K-3. Children participate in games, raffles, obstacle courses, story telling, and even have a chance to snap a photo with our mascot, The Bulldog.
