Citizens for Garfield Heights organized nearly 100 volunteers this past Saturday for a city-wide canvassing opportunity, whereby some 6,000 pieces of literature were hung on doors all over town. Parents, staff members, administrators and athletic teams participated in the event, held specifically on Saturday morning. Student volunteers campaign two-volunteers-together, with various adult supervisors overseeing their efforts. District superintendent Terry Olszewski rallied the volunteers with an impassioned speech and Athletics and Activities Coordinator Dale Krzynowek helped explain the campaign effort in great detail. In all, a great cross-section of volunteers participated in this past weekend’s effort to pass Issue 8.
