High School Students Give Back

In October, at the K-3 carnival at Garfield Heights High School, children wrote wishes for the holiday and placed them in a wishing well, with the idea that the SOS/Key Club students would try to make their wishes come true. SOS/Key Club students sorted "can do" wishes and presented the wishes to the rest of the high school. Students then donated items, such as gift cards, stuffed animals, books and flowers, and those gifts were then matched to the wishes. On Thursday, December 18, Ms. Tomon, SOS/Key Club advisor, delivered presents to those children whose wishes had been granted. Ms. Tomon said, "It was great seeing high school students responding to a wish simple to put a smile on the face of a child they didn't know." Thank you to the students who donated items to make these wishes come true.
