High School Student Artwork to be Displayed in Cleveland Clinic Booklet

The Cleveland Clinic Office of Civic Education, invites submissions to the new addition of its eXpressions booklet. This annual publication celebrates the amazing accomplishments of high school students who have participated in Cleveland Clinic eXpressions: The Intersection of Art and Science. This program is much more than a mere art competition, however. Tied to state and national academic standards, this innovative program gives participants a deeper, real-world understanding of art and science while promoting creativity, innovation, communication, and teamwork.

Three students from the Garfield Heights High School Art Department offered submissions this year. They include Davina Love, Tyler Long, and Lynise Thomas-Jordan. Davina’s work titled “Hidden Thoughts of Minority Men” earned a Blue Ribbon and will be featured in the eXpressions™ catalogue. It will also be displayed in the 2015 eXpressions™ Art, Language, and Math eXhibition, which will open at a new venue this year with a formal reception and dedication at the Global Center for Health Innovation on January 29, 2015.
