Garfield Heights High School Student to be Featured on WKYC on Tuesday, December 9

Alyssa Granito, a junior at Garfield Heights High School, will be featured on WKYC-TV3 on Tuesday, December 9, 2014, as the Athlete of the Week. Alyssa was nominated for this honor by Mathew Barker, teacher at the High School. Alyssa was a varsity cross country member this fall, while maintaining a 4.33 grade point average. She is on the Academic Challenge team, National Honor Society member, participates in Marching Band, Track and Field (both indoor and outdoor) and Class Officer. She is also a teacher assistant at the high school. Mr. Barker describes Alyssa as, "An amazing student and an amazing representative of Garfield Heights and greater Northeast Ohio."
