On Wednesday, February 11th, Amy Tomon (Intervention Specialist at Garfield Heights High School) was asked to present at the Women's Club of Garfield Heights. She happily gave a presentation on Community Service and our SOS/Key Club. Several students attended the event with her, including Derrick Gunn, President and Haley Hemel, Treasurer. They discussed their favorite projects and why community service is important to them.
The evening was well received as the ladies stated they enjoyed hearing positive things about teenagers instead of the negative. Ms. Tomon was proud to showcase how the high school is giving back to the community and looks forward to the next opportunity to make a difference.
The Women's Club also gave a donation of $50 to continue the efforts of the Students of Service/Key Club.
