Fathers Walk at Elmwood Elementary School
At Elmwood Elementary School, we had over 75 fathers, grandfathers, uncles, brothers, neighbors, and family friends participate in the Cuyahoga County Father's Walk on Wednesday, September 20th. Forty men came prior to 8 am for doughnuts and juice and to hear about what is going on at Elmwood. We discussed the difference between "Cash Talk and Behavior" (talk and behavior that will get and keep a job) versus talk and behavior that occur on the streets and in the neighborhood. We spoke about the Father's pledge and encouraged the men to volunteer to participate in school functions, activities and events.
