With what has become a time-honored traditional gathering between the Garfield Heights City Schools and the City of Garfield Heights Senior Organization, approximately 80 students led by Steve Pernod entertained a room full of senior citizens earlier this week with a medley of holiday music. First beginning with the Concert Choir, vocalists in grades 9 through 12 enlivened the room of nearly 50 senior citizens with a mix of contemporary Christmas music blended with old-time classics. After this wonderful student group, the A ’Capella Choir graced the room with their talents. To conclude, the blended groups prompted the seniors to truly get into the full swing of the holiday season with an upbeat finale. Afterwards, students socialized with the senior citizens, who expressed their gratitude by taking a group picture and offering cookies to the students. The Garfield Heights City Schools cherishes the relationship it has with the senior organization, and thanks the Senior Organization for their invitation to come and perform!
