There is currently a series on Netflix called “13 Reasons Why” about a teenager who commits suicide. She leaves behind cassette tapes for 13 people to listen to. She says that these 13 people, in one way or another, played a role in her suicide.
If your children know about, or have heard about, or have begun to watch this series, we urge that you watch it with them so that you can reinforce to them that there is nothing glamorous about suicide. This topic may not be appropriate for all children.
