For the conclusion of this school year, both Elmwood and William Foster K-Kids Clubs organized a school-wide donation drive for Canine Lifeline were collecting new blankets, dog toys, food/treats, and feeding and grooming supplies.
On Wednesday, May 10, 2017, the volunteers and some of their rescue dogs visited with Elmwood and William Foster Elementary K-Kids Club students. K-Kids students were able to see how important Canine Lifeline and their organizations’ volunteers are in helping to rescue dogs and find them safe and loving homes. K-Kids students and the rescue dogs alike both truly enjoyed their “playdate” visit!
After our visit with Canine Lifeline, Elmwood and William Foster Elementary K-Kids Club students participated in an end of the school year social where students were given the opportunity to socialize and share a treat with K-Kids club students from another elementary school. We all appreciate the hard work and service our K-Kids Club students did throughout this school year to improve our school and surrounding community and we definitely enjoyed our time together that afternoon!
