Highlighting Our Top 10: Floyde Samidan (#7 - 4.043 GPA)

With a 4.043 GPA, Floyde Samidan is 7th in the Class of 2015. Floyde told us that his goal in life is to be happy. Apparently, that goal also includes making others happy because Floyde was the Student Council Spirit Leader this year and was also voted “Most School Spirited” for the yearbook superlatives. Aside from his search for happiness, Floyde was a member of National Honor Society, serving as President this year, and he wrestled his freshman through junior years, making All Conference his junior year.

Floyde will be a Buckeye next year, attending The Ohio State University, majoring in chemical engineering. He is still waiting to receive his financial aid packet to see which scholarships he may qualify for.

Obviously, going into engineering, Floyde has a love for math. He shares that love of math with his Roses for Teachers recipient, Michelle Knapp. Mrs. Knapp is a math teacher here at the GHHS.
