The Garfield Heights City Schools congratulates the boys varsity basketball team on an extraordinary season, that came to an end this weekend, as the Bulldogs lost in the state semi-finals to Westerville South. The team demonstrates a fine example of what the students in our school district can accomplish with hard work, dedication and teamwork, and the district salutes this effort. With an overall final record of 23 wins and 4 losses, Coach Sonny Johnson and his entire staff and this team have a great deal to celebrate. On behalf of the entire student body, the Board of Education, staff, city officials and the entire community, the Garfield Heights City Schools commends the Boys Varsity Basketball Team and thanks them for achieving the milestone of reaching the State Tournament Final Four for the second year in a row!
