The Garfield Heights City Schools successfully hosted its 2nd Annual Little Bulldog Kindergarten Registration event on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at Garfield Heights High School from 5- 7 p.m. Those individuals with students five years old before September 30, 2015 were eligible to attend and begin the formal registration process for entering their students into the GHCS for the 2015-2016 school year. Beyond the initiation of the registration process was a colorful series of fun activities and informative booths for parents and students. The High School’s S.O.S. group provided balloons and popped popcorn. Local health officials were on hand for screenings. Our very own Bulldog mascot made an appearance. And Transportation Coordinator Greg Hovan helped students take a short bus trip around the high school parking lot. Superintendent Terry Olszewski grilled hot dogs and greeted everyone with enthusiasm and a smile. Many individuals played key roles in this event including Dr. Randy Continenza, Dr. Gordon Dupree, Brooke Pillets, Betty Hegedus and the high school staff who helped to set up and tear down.
