What made you want to become a teacher?
I wanted to make the learning experience a better experience than the one I had in high school.
What is your favorite class to teach?
English 9 honors.
Honestly, which subject is the most important in school?
English because you need to write, read, & communicate in any profession you choose.
What interesting events/things/activities are happening in your class this year?
Mythology is going to be creating myths based on their own current events.
What unit or less do you look forward to the most?
Modern or Postmodern Brit-Lit.
As teacher, what is your strongest skill?
Being Adaptable.
Would you recommend someone become a teacher?
Sure. They really need to understand it needs to be something they enjoy. They have to enjoy working with young people.
How do you think society views teachers?
The views are mixed. Some just don’t understand that teachers’ only goals are to help students.
Any interesting stories to tell about something that happened in class?
I have had students who thought they weren’t able to succeed, ended up being able to do it.

Make sure that you make education work for you. Realize you are here for a reason.
