Senior Citizens in the Garfield Heights community were entertained earlier this week by a dress rehearsal performance by the High School Theater Department’s spring production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. As part of a twice-yearly engagement by residents at Jennings Hall, Marymount Place and seniors from the Civic Center, the Theater Department invited these guests to the Center for Performing Arts to practice their play one last time before opening up for the entire community tonight. At intermission, senior citizens enjoyed lunch in the Center for Performing Arts lobby and then returned into the auditorium for Act II. Once the dress rehearsal was over, senior citizens and play participants engaged with each other and took a group picture. In all, this event is a highly anticipated interaction between Garfield Heights students, our community’s Greatest Generation all in the name of promoting our wonderful Theater Department’s spring production.
