Congratulations to Pete Mamone and his new wife, Lis. They were recently married in Austin, Texas. Pete is a 2000 graduate of Garfield Heights High School. After graduating from Garfield Heights, Pete attended West Point Military Academy in New York. As an Officer in the Army and Apache Helicopter Pilot, Pete was a Distribution Platoon Leader across remote locations in Korea, Apache Helicopter Platoon Leader flying over 500 combat hours across Central and Southern Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom, Aviation Maintenance Company Commander in Illeshiam, Germany overseeing $630 million dollars worth of 24 Apache Helicopters, and an Apache Helicopter Company Commander in Tacoma, Washington flying over 3,000 hours in Operation New Dawn.
After the military, Pete earned his MBA from The Red McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas in Austin. This is where he met his wife, Lis, who is also a graduate of The University of Texas, The United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, and a former Navy Fighter Pilot. Pete and Lis now live in Austin, Texas with their dogs. Pete currently works as a Technical Sourcing Manager for Google. Congratulations and best of luck to Pete and Lis.
