Members of the High School Jazz Band made their yearly visit to the Senior Center at Garfield Heights Civic Center earlier this week, as they participated in their annual Saint Patrick’s Day Celebration. Led by veteran director Mr. Devlin Pope, 26 students were bussed to the morning session of the senior citizen’s celebration to play a half dozen jazz tunes and interact with nearly 100 attendees from the Civic Center, Maple Heights, Woodside Village, Sunrise Point and Walton Manor. Song selections included ‘Don’t You Worry 'bout a Thing,” by Stevie Wonder and even included a vocal performance by Mr. Pope himself. Special thank you to the City of Garfield Heights for their yearly invitation to this special holiday celebration, as the District very much values our partnership.
