Little Bulldogs Kindergarten Pre-registration Event Held at Garfield Heights High School
The Garfield Heights City Schools hosted a “Little Bulldogs” Kindergarten Pre-registration event on Wednesday, March 14 th from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. in the cafeteria at Garfield Heights High School. The purpose of the event was two-fold: first, to begin the on-line kindergarten registration process and schedule an appointment to complete the in-person portion of registration; and second, to provide information about the district’s free summer Transition to Kindergarten program. Forms that were picked up at this event can be properly filled out and returned during formal registration. Final registration begins on Monday, March 26 and runs through Thursday, March 29, 2018 and then again on Monday, April 9, 2018, running through Thursday, April 12, 2018. At this “Little Bulldogs” event, parents had the chance to ask questions and meet some of our kindergarten teachers and elementary school principals. Complimentary food, sports sign-ups, door prizes, games and activities were available as well. If your child turns five years old on or before September 30, 2018, then he or she is eligible for kindergarten next year. Please be certain to take advantage of the opportunity to pre-register early and learn about the free summer pre-kindergarten program provided by the Garfield Heights City Schools.
