Garfield Heights City Schools Commencement Recognizes Class of 2018

The Garfield Heights High School Class of 2018 Commencement Ceremony took place on Thursday, May 17, 2018, displaying a rousing combination of excitement, enthusiasm, success and achievement. Before a proud and congratulatory audience at Music Hall in Downtown Cleveland, Ohio, the Class of 2018 officially walked across the stage to shake the hand of High School Principal Tammy Hager one final time and receive their diplomas. Superintendent Terry Olszewski provided inspiring remarks about how the Class of 2018 took advantage of the many opportunities provided to it by the Garfield Heights City Schools. He added high praise for the record-breaking achievement of the Class of 2018, who earned more than $4.8 million in total scholarships and grants from various colleges and universities. Garfield Heights Board of Education President Gary Wolske delivered words of encouragement for the departing senior class, and Ms. Hager provided insights and commentary about her relationship with many of the members of the Class of 2018. The commencement ceremony is one of the most lauded events during the school year, and the Garfield Heights City Schools congratulates the Class of 2018 and wishes them well in their respective future endeavors.
