Local Veteran Awarded His High School Diploma

On Veteran's Day 2015, Garfield Heights City Schools was proud to participate in a very special recognition ceremony. James William Kulla was supposed to graduate in 1965. Instead, he made the sacrifice to join the service before he could graduate. Mr. Kulla served in the Marine Corp during the Vietnam War.

In conjunction with the VFW, Mr. Kulla was awarded his Garfield Heights high school diploma on Wednesday, November 11th, 2015. In addition, he was given a full cap and gown, Garfield Heights Bulldog spirit wear including hats and t-shirts, a Garfield Heights graduation sign, and, of course, his diploma.
