Junior guard Tyler Jackson scored a game-high 18 points, and the Bulldogs advanced to Thursday's district semifinals in Twinsburg after holding off an upset-minded 10th seed.
Senior guard Che Johnson led Maple Heights (9-15) with 16 points and forward Larry Reynolds added 14. They helped the Mustangs to a 14-8 first-quarter lead before the Bulldogs' second-quarter rally.
Jesse Laster added 13 points for Garfield Heights (18-5) and Makail Cottingham had 11.
