The House System is a strategy that is used at The Ron Clark Academy in Atlanta, Georgia and has been adapted throughout the country. As Mustangs, the purpose of OUR House System will be to:
- build, promote, and enhance our Mustang community across the grade levels and throughout the school
- encourage positive behavior and expectations
- teach students to take ownership of their role in the community
- promote healthy competition and the realization that we are involved in something BIGGER than ourselves
When all of these things are achieved, academic learning can take place at a very high level and students can truly reach their potential!
The House System will begin with the random assignment of students and staff to a particular house, the house that they stay in every year until they leave Millridge. Students will engage in various team building activities across grade levels Kindergarten through 5th grade to foster relationships with peers.
