Band had their high school awards banquet last week and I wanted to announce the winners of the most prestigious senior band awards that exist nationwide for instrumental music.
If you ever get to see these seniors in the future please congratulate them on their accomplishments while here at GHCS!
The winners are listed below:
John Philip Sousa Award (awarded to the best senior bandsman or bandswoman) - Austin Santos
Louis Armstrong Award (awarded to the most passionate jazz band member) - Emily Mazer and Holland Petway
The National Marching Band Award (awarded to the most dedicated marching band member) - Jasmine Milton
The Department Award (awarded to a student who utilized the most of what this instrumental music program had to offer) - Cassandra Frederick
