The Garfield Heights City Schools officially went on summer break on Friday, May 25, 2018, formally completing the 2017-2018 School Year. The final day for students was characterized by several fun activities, such as Field Day at Elmwood Elementary School and a special “clap-off” at both William Foster Elementary School and Garfield Heights Middle School. Although students will be on summer break, the Garfield Heights City Schools will be a busy place, where a variety of activities are taking place at Maple Leaf Elementary School, including Kinderbound and a partnership with the Big Brothers and Big Sisters organization.
