Garfield Heights City Schools Thanks OverDrive Education

In a special ceremony dedicated to expressing the District’s gratitude for their meaningful partnership, administrators invited OverDrive Education to a live demonstration at Garfield Heights Middle School earlier this week. Welcomed by District Superintendent Terry Olszewski, the program was intended to say thank you while also permitting students to share about what OverDrive’s online access platform to books and other periodicals means to them. Shari Bailey, Director of Technology, spoke about the origination of the partnership with OverDrive and how she always desired a relationship with this world-leader in online educational technology. Lee Ann Reisland, the District’s Coordinator of Curriculum, detailed how the platform is being used in the classroom, along with exciting plans for the future. Representatives from OverDrive Education were in attendance and even delivered some remarks after watching three middle school students share their experiences with the audience. The Garfield Heights City Schools expresses its gratitude to OverDrive for this very extensive and growing partnership that will provide opportunities for students for many years to come.
