GHCS Welcomes New Teachers

The Garfield Heights City Schools hosted an orientation for over twenty new teachers and staff members on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at the High School Library. Upon arrival, new staff members received their I.D. badges and a few Bulldog-themed items, including an official district polo shirt. Building principals and Central Office administrators were present to personally welcome each new “Bulldog” to the District. Light refreshments were available for attendees to enjoy prior to the start of the program. Superintendent Terry Olszewski started the orientation with a “Bulldog Pride” filled speech, which emphasized the tremendous role teachers play in helping students succeed. The orientation also featured a short bus tour of the City of Garfield Heights to help teachers and staff learn more about the proud community served by the District. The Garfield Heights City Schools extend a warm welcome to all new teachers and staff for the 2018-2019 school year. Go Bulldogs!
