Garfield Heights City Schools Kindergarten Age Cutoff Date Will Change to August 1^st

Beginning with the start of the 2019-2020 school year, the new age cutoff date for prospective Kindergarten students in the Garfield Heights City Schools will be August 1^st of each year. All new kindergarten students must be 5 years of age prior to August 1^st for the upcoming school year in order to be eligible to register. The change comes as the result of the District desiring to align the best interests of incoming kindergarten students with the overall academic objectives of the Garfield Heights City Schools.
