1st Annual Cultural Dinner & Celebration

The first-ever Cultural Dinner and Celebration will take place on Wednesday, February 12th, at Garfield Heights High School, as part of the weeklong commemoration of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Week in the District. Beginning that evening with a free dinner in the High School Cafeteria at 6 p.m., the Garfield Heights City Schools then invites participants to the Center for Performing Arts at 6:30 p.m. where a number of meaningful activities will take place that promote diversity and cultural inclusion. A panel discussion will engage relevant topics of diversity, following entertaining student performances. Art contest winners will be announced this evening as well. Flyers are available at each of the buildings, and the GHCS asks that you R.S.V.P. with your child’s building secretary no later than February 7th if you plan to attend the Cultural Dinner and Celebration for planning purposes. This important community-based Cultural Dinner and Celebration is being hosted on Wednesday of the first-ever Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Week in the District as well, during which activities and events will be taking place at all buildings in the GHCS. More information on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Week will be forthcoming in the near future. Thank you for your continued support!
