Garfield Heights City Schools Recognizes Board Recognition Month,
Applauds Members
At the regular meeting of the Board of Education on January
21st, Superintendent Chris Hanke formally recognized and applauded the five members of our very own Board in honor of Board Recognition Month. Each January, school districts around Ohio honor Board of Education members for their dedicated energies and countless hours devoted to students in their school districts. Board of Education members are public servants who are elected to serve the community for very little compensation, and often for thankless pursuits. The men and women of the Garfield Heights Board of Education assume a significant responsibility to advocate for the students in our District. Each of our Board Members demonstrates extraordinary dedication, invest full-time hours to attend meetings, review and set policy and attend district events. Congratulations to Joseph M. Juby, Robert A. Dobies, Sr., Christine A. Kitson, Nichelle N. Daniels, and Ashley M. Thomas for their commitment to the Garfield Heights City Schools.
