As a way to provide greatly needed personal hygiene items for students at all of the buildings, the District’s partners at Marymount Hospital and the Garfield Heights Kiwanis have assisted in the creation of their very own Hygiene Closets. Donations of personal care items will stock the closets and were recently delivered to all five buildings in the Garfield Heights City Schools. Representatives from the Helping Hands Committee and the Kiwanis group personally visited Elmwood Elementary School to say hello and to deliver the goods. Due to the kindness and support of the creation of these hygiene closets, students will now have access to personal hygiene items when and where needed at the school. The Garfield Heights City Schools extends its most sincere gratitude to our collaborative community partners at the Helping Hands Committee of Marymount Hospital and the Kiwanis organization for their leadership, generosity and true compassion.
