Sean Patton Named Assistant Superintendent

Sean Patton was formally appointed to the position of Assistant Superintendent in the Garfield Heights City Schools at the regular meeting of the Board of Education that took place on August 19, 2019. Mr. Patton is elevated into this role after having served as Special Education Supervisor for the past year and Principal of William Foster Elementary School for 5 years prior to that. His focus in this latest administrative role was, in part, to successfully deploy and enhance the Positive Behavior Supports Initiative (P.B.I.S.), which has been done since all buildings in the District will receive state recognition for their PBIS achievements this year. In his new capacity, Sean will handle the human resources responsibilities for the Garfield Heights City Schools as well as assist and advise Superintendent Chris Hanke. The Garfield Heights City Schools congratulates Mr. Patton on being named Assistant Superintendent and wishes him well in this capacity.
