We are hosting NAMI Lake County to share its Ending the Silence for Families presentation on Monday, November 4 at 7:00 p.m. at Memorial Middle School. NAMI is the National Alliance on Mental Illness. Ending the Silence is a free presentation designed to give audience members an opportunity to learn about mental illness through an informative Power Point and short videos. The presentation outlines symptoms of mental health conditions and gives attendees ideas about how to help themselves, friends, or family members who may need support. Additionally, the presentation includes personal testimony from a young adult living with a mental health condition and his/her journey to recovery.
All are welcome to attend. Many of our students have had the opportunity to view this presentation during school time; however, you may still bring your child(ren) at your discretion. The program is not recommended for children under the age of 12.
