Congratulations to Music Express who were named Grand Champions of the 2020 Great Lakes Invitational Show Choir Competition on Saturday. During the daytime performance, Express brought the house down with the performance of their show MONSTER, and in addition to taking first place in their class, they also won the award for “best show concept.” Oliver Boyette won his second “best male soloist” award of the season and Desire Goodwin, the only 8th-grade member of Express, was named Garfield’s most dynamic performer. In the evening finals, Express won the award for “best choreography” and placed first overall, making them Grand Champions for the third time at the Great Lakes Invitational.
