Highlights from 8th Grade History Class

In the first two weeks of Mrs. Routh's Social Studies class, the students have spent a lot of time learning to "think like a historian" - which means thoughtful analysis of everything from documents to artifacts.  Students selected an artifact, analyzed it, guessed it's age and then sorted themselves and their artifacts into a "human" timeline of American history.  They also practiced those same skills as they dug into the actual 1863 journal of Mrs. Routh's ancestor, Abram Bowen Martin.
