Coach Reisland gets his 100th Win!

With a come from behind 28-26 victory over Lakewood this past Friday, Head Football Coach Chuck Reisland chalked up his 100th win as the Bulldog’s football mentor.  Leading the Bulldogs again was junior quarterback James Bennett who threw for 3 touchdown passes against the Ranger defense.  Last week Reisland reached the 200 win milestone as a high school head football coach.  His 201st win did not come easy.  The Bulldogs fell behind 20-6 just before halftime when Lakewood returned a punt 95 yards for a touchdown.  The Bulldogs then buckled down in the second half and outscored the Rangers 22-6 to seal the victory.

Prior to game, Athletic Director Kevin Hartman presented Coach Reisland with a plaque commemorating his 200thwin as a head football coach.  The plaque has varsity letters from Brunswick,Orange and Garfield Heights on it signifying the three high schools he has worked for as a head coach.  Along side the varsity letters, is a Neighborhood News article and engraved plate commemorating his achievement.

Coach Reisland has a 100-59 record as Head Coach at Garfield Heights High School and a 201-149-2 overall record.  The Bulldogs will host the Brush Arcs this Friday at 7pm at Blaugrund Field.  A victory by the Bulldogs would clinch a tie for the NOC Lake Division Championship.  Hopefully Coach Reisland can lead the Bulldogs to wins 101 and 202.
