5th Grade and Middle School Bands Host Holiday Concert
On Wednesday, December 10, the 5th grade band and the Middle School band hosted their holiday concert. The 5th grade band, with 50 members in attendance, played select pieces from Standard of Excellence and Jingle Bells. The 6th grade band, with 38 members, played Jingle Bells, Jolly Old St. Nicholas and Trepak from "The Nutcracker". The 7th grade band, with 29 members, played Regal March, I'll Be Home For Christmas and Jingle Bell Polka. And finally, the 8th grade band, with 19 members, played Winter Wonderland, featuring soloist Evan Jasterbowski and a duet by Taeylr Bonner and Joseph Moon, You're a Mean One Mr. Grinch, Little Brown Jug Quartet, featuring Chrissa Sobocinski, Emily Thomas, June Fertig and Hannah Lundgren, and Home For The Holidays. Thank you to Mrs. Burrows, 5th grade band director, and Mr. Pope, Middle School band director, for making the program a success.
