What is Kiwanis K-Kids Club? In partnership with Garfield Heights Kiwanis Club, Maple Leaf Elementary School offers a Kiwanis K-Kids Program. The purpose of K-Kids is to: provide opportunities for working together in service to the school and Garfield Heights community; develop leadership potential; foster the development of strong moral character; and encourage loyalty to school, community and the nation. The Maple Leaf Kiwanis K-Kids take a leading role in both service and fundraising. Our K-Kids is a service and is open to 5th grade students who are recommended by a staff member of Maple Leaf Elementary School.

Meetings are on the first and third Wednesday of each month during the students lunch/recess time with periodic meetings held after school.

Meeting Dates for the 2017-2018 School Year:

9/20            1/3
10/4            1/17
10/18          3/7
11/1            3/21
11/15          4/18

During these meetings our students will "identify community needs, plan service and fundraising projects and develop leadership skills." These kids want to make the world a better place, starting right here in Garfield Heights! Our students promise to lead by example and work to promote school and community spirit.
