Garfield Heights High School is proud to announce that they have two Seniors that earned the Rank of Eagle Scout.
Paul Newrones earned Eagle on 6-21-16
Paul cleaned, painted, hired an electrician, and ran all new electric for a new computer room for the Broadway Christian Church's Summer Reading Program. The room now has 12 computer stations which is enough for each student to have their own space. Paul raised money to purchase all new tables, curtains, and power strips in addition to all of the electrical supplies and a $100 donation.
Owen Rasmusen earned Eagle on 3-27-17
Owen's project was done for the Garden Club for the City of Garfield Heights. Due to animals and other issues, the old fence surrounding the garden needed to be replaced, so Owen gathered the materials, organized a group, and installed an 8 foot fence around the garden. He also did a clean-up of the park where the garden is located.
