Elmwood Students Present Black History Month Projects
Elmwood Students Present Black History Month Projects

5th grade students at Elmwood worked on research projects for Black History Month. The students had the choice of working with a partner or individually to research an African American from history. The students created poster boards with facts and pictures about their chosen individual. There were 8 requirements for the project that the students needed to do research on: Early Life/Childhood, Interests/Hobbies, Contributions to Society, Greatest Accomplishments, Challenges, Quotes, Fun Facts, and a conclusion of why they chose this person. They gave speeches to their classes and also presented their projects to the younger classrooms. The students were so proud of their work. They did a nice job presenting their work to their peers. Click here for pictures of the students and their presentations.
