This month, the Preschool and Head Start students are learning about love, friendship, and what it means to be kind. They read two books called "My Monster Momma Loves Me So" and "How Full is Your Bucket."
The students discussed the ways that they know someone cares for them and how they can show caring and kindness to others. They also made a kindness tree that is going to be kept up for the rest of the year to make “Bloom” with all of the ways the students can show kindness at school. The students also made buckets to fill with different ways to be kind, so that they can become “bucket fillers.”
There is so much learning going on about what it means to be kind and how to give back to others. Students are also participating in the school’s Pennies for Pasta campaign for the Leukima and Lymphoma Society as another way to show love and kindness to others.
