Safetytown at Mapleleaf
This year during the Summer Literacy Program at Maple Leaf, we were very fortunate to have Safetytown available to Kinderbound and Kindergarten students. The instructor, Ms. Garrett taught the students about how to stay safe in various situations. The Maple Leaf gym was set up like the City of Garfield Heights. One of the things the students learned about was what they should do if their ball bounces into the street. Other topics that were covered were bicycle safety and pool safety.
