Alumni Update: Bette Lou Higgins, Class of 1970
Bette Lou Higgins is a 1970 graduate of Garfield Heights High School. Ms. Higgins' company, Eden Valley Enterprises, recently produced a documentary that has just been nominated for an Emmy Award! TRAIL MAGIC: THE GRANDMA GATEWOOD STORY is about Ohioan Emma Gatewood who was the first woman to solo thru-hike the 2,050-mile Appalachain Trail in 1955 after raising 11 children and surviving domestic abuse!
