2016 was a very interesting year and some of the moore interesting stuff is worth to go over. Back in January the biggest topic of the news was “el chapo” being brought into custody six months after he escaped. He embarrassed police by escaping one of their most secure prisons. February 9th is when the Bronco’s played the Panthers and Broncos came out on top winning 24-10 to win the Super Bowl 50. Peyton Manning would announce his retirement from the Denver Broncos and the NFL in the month of March. Barack Obama became the first U.S. president to visit Cuba since 1928. On April 4th was the anniversary of the day Martin Luther King was assassinated.

May 28th was the day Harambe the gorilla was shot and killed after dragging a boy who had slipped into the enclosure. R.I.P Harambe. The biggest victory in Cleveland in many many years happened when the Cleveland Cavaliers beat the Golden State Warriors 4-3 and became the first team to overcome a 3-1 deficit. In July 2016, the FBI released reports stating that Hillary Clinton was extremely careless in handling classified emails. The killing of Alton Sterling while he was restrained on the ground was filmed in July as well.
Pokemon GO was released in July which led to an increase in people getting out of the house and walking and it became very popular. Michael Phelps ends his career at the Rio olympics as the most decorated Olympian in August.

The first U.S. presidential debate between Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton and Republican nominee Donald Trump took place on September 26th. On October 7th, videos came out exposing things said by Donald Trump boasting about groping and kissing women without consent. November we had the election where we found out that Trump is going to be our president. It shocked people because polls showed the exact opposite, leaving many people are unhappy and many are currently protesting.

As we live out the new year, we can look back at how interesting the last year was. We should really appreciate being able to wake up each and every day because time is precious and shouldn't be wasted. I know that in the future, there will be better days and more to come.
