In an effort to promote collaboration and continued learning among those new to leadership positions, the First Ring Leadership Academy provides these leaders with an opportunity to share "lessons learned" that address the unique challenges of First Ring Districts, including poverty, mobility, cultural diversity, and efforts to close the achievement gap. Paul Glazer, Assistant Principal at Garfield Heights Middle School, participated in this year's academy with a project that focused on student leadership.
