On November 23rd at 9 am, Maple Leaf Elementary School and the Garfield Heights Middle School conducted a simultaneous evacuation for both buildings. While the Maple Leaf students walked across the street to the Church of the Nazarene for their evacuation, the Middle School students walked down Linda Lane to the parking lot of K-mart on Rockside Road. The Middle School students were taken back to the Middle School on school buses.
Maple Leaf finished its evacuation in 9 minutes. All of the Middle School students were back in their building by 9:41.
