Students and staff in the Garfield Heights City Schools officially began the 2020-2021 School Year on Wednesday, September 9th with remote learning while teachers instructed in a virtual format. This first official week of school comes subsequent to a variety of preparatory events and activities that took place over the past several weeks, including a robust distribution of educational materials and Chromebooks for students last week at the buildings. Students were actively engaged in their online classrooms, asking questions and performing assignments. Superintendent Chris Hanke toured the buildings to say a virtual hello to students and those staff members instructing from their classrooms.
