A Message from Superintendent, Christopher Hanke
Good morning Bulldog Family,

This is Chris Hanke, Superintendent of Schools, at noon today, all district and school buildings will be closed to everyone but essential personnel for cleaning. Given the guidance from the governor, the buildings will be closed until further notice.

Grab and go meals will be available at the middle school this week, a hiatus for spring break next week from March 23 to the 27th, and then the grab and go will resume March 30. Please enter through door b at the middle school for grab and go and educational materials.

This week, during the grab and go, parents will have the opportunity to check out a Chromebook. A parent / guardian, with identification, is required to sign out a Chromebook for temporary use. Chromebooks are available to check out for each student in grades 4-12. Please only check out a Chromebook if it is absolutely necessary. There will also be information for free wifi for qualifying families. Enter through Door A for Chromebook distribution.

To get your questions answered, please email [email protected]. We will be monitoring this email address, and answering your questions as quickly as possible As employees are working from home, phone calls will not be answered as quickly as normal; the email address is the quickest way to get information. Only essential cleaning and cafeteria personnel will be working.

As we go through this difficult time, the Garfield Heights City Schools is committed to engaging students and families through all electronic means available to us. Please visit our website regularly for updates and resources, and keep an eye on the district’s social media accounts. Please stay safe, stay healthy, take care of yourselves, and take care of each other.

Sincerely,

Christopher Hanke
Superintendent
