William Foster K-Club Students Interact with Community Senior Citizens

Approximately 18 fifth grade students from William Foster Elementary School visited with senior citizens at City Hall earlier this week, as part of the District’s continued effort to remain actively engaged with stakeholders in the community. The William Foster “K-Club/Ambassadors,” a collection of building leaders who support the mission of the Kiwanis organization and who have been identified as those who positively represent the District, took turns reading self-authored statements about how they would like to help our community and our world.  Approximately 30 senior citizens listened as the William Foster ambassadors explained in great detail and enthusiasm their vision and action plan for making our community and our world a better place.  Afterwards, the students helped award senior citizens with prizes through a raffle while also taking the time to say hello in a wonderful display of interaction and meaningful engagement. This marks the 10th year that Garfield Heights students are visiting senior citizens and we thank the community, and this particular group, for their continued support.
