Garfield Heights City Schools Principals Recognized for P.B.I.S. Honors from the State of Ohio

All five principals at Garfield Heights City Schools were recognized before a staff meeting at the High School on Monday, January 6th for earning Positive Behavior Intervention Supports (P.B.I.S.) honors from the State of Ohio. Distributing the awards to Tammy Hager, Chris Sauer, Gwen Abraham, Brynn Morris, and Jean Rizi was Superintendent Chris Hanke, who formally received the honor at the Ohio P.B.I.S. Awards Showcase held in Dayton last month. At the Ohio P.B.I.S. Showcase, schools from across the state were recognized for their quality P.B.I.S. implementation during the past year. Assistant Superintendent Sean Patton has also played a lead role in developing the District’s dedication to P.B.I.S. for many years and participated in the principal recognition as well. William Foster Elementary School earned a Silver Award from the State of Ohio, making this the fourth consecutive year of such behavior achievement. The High School, Middle School, Elmwood, and Maple Leaf Elementary School each won a Bronze Award from the State of Ohio. Congratulations to the building principals, and everyone else who has played a role in helping with the District’s successful deployment on the Positive Behavior Intervention Supports initiatives.

We would like to thank Andrea Boufford for her help in developing the schoolwide banners that will be on display at all of the schools.??
