Helping Hands Committee Donates School Supplies!

Helping Hands Committee Donates Hundreds of School Supplies to First Grade Students

For the past several years, the Helping Hands Committee from Marymount Hospital has added an extra layer of excitement and happiness to the first day of school for first grade students in the Garfield Heights City Schools. Through their kindness and charity, the Helping Hands Committee generously donated hundreds of school supplies to our first graders, including glue sticks, pencils, pens, folders, notebooks, plastic baggies to carry these items, crayons and more. In a special ceremony that took place on the first day of school at Elmwood Elementary School, Michael Curry, Supervisor of Patient Transportation and Volunteer Services, and Renee Wheaton, Quality Management Coordinator from Marymount Hospital visited Elmwood Elementary School to meet the beneficiaries of their donations. Superintendent Chris Hanke and Elmwood Principal Gwen Abraham spoke to Mrs. Arnold’s first grade class and introduced the guests from Marymount Hospital. The Garfield Heights City Schools would like to graciously thank the Helping Hands Committee for their unconditional support of the students in our school district. Thank you once again, and Go Bulldogs!
